Final Friday

On April's 2010 Final Friday, four students from Wichita State University hosted an art exhibition and sale at the future home of the United Methodist Open Door Resource and Referral Center. The event showcased local artists and gave visitors a chance to see the new location. The event exhibited paintings, photography, jewelry, and magnets from Paul Hudson, Tatiana Svrckova, Monika Meler, Abby Davis, Amanda Taylor, Alyssa Hanning, and Bri Hanschu.
Visitors also had the opportunity to purchase art on display. All proceeds benefited Open Door.

The goal of this event was to raise awareness in the community about Open Doorç—´ current $7.4 million Capital Campaign. The campaign is designed to raise funds for Wichitaç—´ Resource and Referral Center. Open Door and other collaborative partners, including COMCARE and Housing First, will offer their services under the same roof, making them more accessible and obtainable to the Wichita community.

The event happened on April 30th, 2010, from 7pm to 10pm at the corner of 2nd street and Topeka.
